Recipe: Enzyme Juice and Organic Fertilizer
1. Air-tight glass jar
3. Refined white sugar
4. Fruit peels (clean, freshly peeled – not decomposing)
5. Chopping board
Chop the fruit peels. Use a ratio of one-third peels to two-thirds water. Put the peels into the jar. Add sugar to cover the peels. Add water. Wait at least two weeks (preferably six months) before using the enzyme juice, shaking the jar every now and then.
The juice can be used as a tonic, a fertilizer for your veggie garden, or a household cleaner.
*note: discard if the juice has black mould on top, or if it smells bad.
1. 4 Cloves Garlic
2. 3 Chili padi (small)
3. 1L Water
4. Coffee filter or Sieve
Take the outside coating off of the cloves of garlic. Put in blender with the chili padi. Add water. Blend in the blender until the child padi is distributed throughout and is in small pieces. Using the filter, pour carefully into a container. This mixture can then be decanted into a spray bottle and used to kill insects that have infected your plants.
*note: be careful when handling chili padi.
